Nepal

Namche Bazar, Namche, Nepal by Kalle Kortelainen. After nearly three weeks of trekking in the Everest region on high altitudes over 4,000 we finally got back to Namche Bazaar. In this case, it felt like coming back to developed civilization with modern luxuries and amenities. I could only imagine how the Everest climbers must feel after spending months at the EBCs. I was on a boat travelling down the backwaters of Kerala watching kids playing in the river when I spotted this hard working gentleman. He seemed to be happy as larry. By Shashank Sahay This is a shot from my previous trip to Jammu, India. These unexpected visitors came to the local church we were at, and I just had to do some shots of this beautiful young girl. Usually kids in India goes crazy whenever they see a camera. Not this girl. She sat there completely silent, with such a strong confidence looking straight into the lens. This is beauty on high scale. By Sharon Christina Rørvik San Diego, United States. By pavan gupta

By Nadja Friesen During a stay in China, my french friend Nicolas who was living in Chengdu told me about Bi Peng Gou valley near east Tibet that we should explore.
We took a bus without any foreigners, it was less than 2 years after the terrible earthquake, in Sichuan. Landscapes were really apocalyptic: all infrastructures in reconstruction, mountain down to the river… a long and hard roadway rewarded by thermal baths. A moto taxi brought us to the Bi Peng Gou lake traversing an enchanted forest. Finding the best view, I captured this shot by walking on an unstable stone dam. I really appreciated this trip.
